About the Farm
The Vered Hagalil Guest Farm has been at the service of guests since the early '60's. It was built by Yehuda Avni, a former Chicagoan and his Jerusalem born wife Yonah. They turned terrain strewn with boulders and thistles into a paradise of gardens, riding stables, rustic restaurant, outdoor pool, cottages and cabins.
In the heart of the farm is a unique, rustic American style restaurant built of pine wood and basalt field stones.
A hearty wood-stove fire in winter, country music, from the terrace a view of horses out on pasture, with Galilee hills on the horizon.
Within, aroma arising from the rich savoury menu featuring home-cooked soups, tender steaks, salads, vegetarian delicacies, farm-baked bread and pies, along with delicious items on the children's menu.
Horse riding is our specialty: pristine historic and scenic trails, Sea of Galilee, Jordan River, Western riding lessons, ponies for children. Equine activities: horse-shows, one to three-day guided trail-rides,
riding-equipment shop, camp-fire cookouts.
Out of the world, midst the trees is our "Close to Nature - spa" where aches and cares are banished via expert treatments, massages, romantic Jacuzzi, topped by a relaxed interval of herbal tea and cookies
Leisure time is well spent in the air-conditioned game room: ping-pong, classic billiard table, library and cable TV. Out in the gardens are play areas for children and picnic areas for everybody. Swimming pool is open in season.
